Full-Sized Shows The Crystal Ball The Giant Turnip The Hollow Stump Rainbow Crow Brings Daylight These 45-minute shows (with Q and A) involve both Ingrid and Ole as performers. The sets are elaborate and require about one hour to set up and strike. We gladly give a question and answer session after every performance. The Apple Tree This is a smaller marionette show with both Ole and Ingrid. It lasts about 35 minutes with interactive song about the life- cycle of the apple tree. Cost: $350/$450/$550 Butterfly Wonder For this one-woman show, Ingrid uses a beautifully decorated apron as her stage, with characters magically appearing from hidden pockets. The whole show fits into a picnic basket. For a school, we recommend visits to each individual classroom. The show includes a mini- workshop directly afterwards for making simple butterfly puppets with the children. For 1st and 2nd grade classrooms, there is an expanded workshop in which  the children make all puppets necessary to perform their  own Butterfly Wonder show at home! Cost: $200    multiple classroom visits:  costs$125/$150 (expanded) per classroom.
Workshops As part of our two-year Artist Residency at Greenbelt Elementary School, we have prepared a wide range of hands-on workshops for students and teachers in close cooperation with the faculty, supporting the curriculum. Projects include: “Celebrating Folk Tales Through Shadow Puppetry”,  “Puppets and Poetry - Bringing Poetry to Life”  “Building a Singing Puppet from Recycled Materials” Cost: $150 per visit, including materials
Beech Tree Puppets serves the Greater Baltimore-Washington Area. We are a traveling company, prepared to take our shows and workshops to classrooms, libraries, public performance spaces and private venues. Our shows are intimate and use no amplification. We have performed our full-size shows for groups from 30 to 200, depending on the venue space. Please contact us with any questions you may have.
